This is the title of my blog. A quest means a search for something. We can search for many things from the web. However, dissemination of information is increasing faster than anyone can assimilate it. The collective memory of mankind has taken immense proportions by means of technology. When we are using the internet, endless amounts of information are just a click away. This quantity of information has sometimes been likened to a sea, being of such proportions that we must learn to swim in it, as it were, but try not to drink it all in. The sheer quantity of it forces us to be selective.
Sometimes, much available information is not particularly useful. Some of it is even undesirable, not worth knowing. And we need to search. When we search for something, it takes time. Our life span is so short, we will not be able to digest all the knowledge we get from the web, that's why we need to be selective.
The purpose of my writing this blog is to reflect on a project we are doing for a course "Computer Assisted Language Learning" (MPB1343) conducted by Dr Wan Fara. This project is a WebQuest. A WebQuest is a mini-project in which a large percentage of the input and material is supplied from the internet.
I do not know if I can carry out my project very well. But I will try my best...
